Berlin Germany Wedding at Landhaus Adlon

Julia & Slava moved to Berlin a few months before their Germany wedding, which happened to be just around the time the lockdown started. Being that they had no chance to get to know or explore the city, they needed extra support in the planning process. They trusted us to make their vision come to life and we were very excited for the opportunity.

The couple wanted a combination of romantic and luxury, without being over the top flashy. We kept a modern look while incorporating some of their Russian traditions. They held their ceremony in an Orthodox church, honoring family traditions. At the same time, they wanted their wedding to be a reflection of them. The bride loves fashion and knew she wanted 2 wedding dresses. Her Kojak Studio dress was truly a jaw-dropping statement piece.

Planning this destination wedding in Germany

From the beginning, we were hesitant that their Germany wedding was going to be intimate but still felt optimistic for a bigger guest list. Given COVID, the strict regulations only allowed for the immediate family to attend.

Many of the elements had to be planned last minute. As a result, we ended up with 4 different locations. The registry office, Russian Catholic Church, Gästehaus am Lehnitzsee for the couple shoot and a Hotel for an intimate dinner.

The Gästehaus am Lehnitzsee revives the tradition of the historic Landhaus Adlon. It brings back the ambiance of the 1920s to Potsdam. Louis Adlon, the legendary son of hotelier Lorenz Adlon, had the elaborate building constructed in 1926 and 27. The country house combines rather conservative elements of neo-baroque with expressionist spatial designs. We loved this historic place for Julia and Slava. They popped champagne outside of The Gästehaus in celebration of their love.
