Patrick & Sebastian

a black and white picture of two grooms at their wedding in Germany

Patrick and Sebastian’s wedding in Germany was not without challenges. We connected with these two back in 2019 and it quickly became an instant friendship. When 2020 hit us, we wanted to make sure that this couple felt supported, no matter the postponing possibilities ahead of us. Three years later and three postponements later, we all watched in tears as the pair finally got to celebrate their love together in front of their dearest family and friends.

The Wedding Day

Even though the pandemic threw a wrench in their plans, it actually made Patrick and Sebastian’s wedding day that much sweeter. Since their big day had been long-awaited, nerves and tension were building throughout the morning of the ceremony. One of our favorite memories being the first look. You could feel all the worries melt away as they looked into each other's eyes on both ends of the stairs. It was exactly what they needed to confirm that this has not been for nothing. “Not for nothing” was their sweet slogan for getting them through the many trials of trying to plan a wedding through the pandemic. You could feel the sentiment of those words throughout the entire day.

Patrick and Sebastian chose to have their loved ones be a part of their ceremony by each guest sliding their rings down a ribbon. Inviting their family and friends to take part in this ritual brought tears to everyone’s eyes including the vendors. The intention behind every detail of this wedding from us and Patrick and Sebastian blew us away.

Timeless Decor

When we started designing their wedding we knew we wanted to play with color yet keep classic elements throughout. We chose a light color palette with a foundation of white and cream. Along with adding pops of deep berry tones for balance. The space has high white ceilings and natural lighting, so we knew that adding in those dark colors would make the subtle impact we were looking for. To create depth and bring forth some masculine energy, we added gold accents which tied everything together seamlessly for this perfect wedding in Germany.

The look on Patrick and Sebastian’s faces when they saw the final design come together really touched us. Seeing your clients genuinely happy and appreciative of our creation is a dream come true as wedding planners. We were so lucky to have these two allow us to be a part of their special day.
