Eva & Moritz

Eva and Moritz came to us about two and a half years before their wedding day in search of someone who could help them scout out the perfect wedding venue in Tuscany. After spending some time together scouting locations and discussing different planning aspects, they chose us for a complete planning and design package. Their vision was a luxury wedding and soon realized that hiring a professional to handle the specifics would be worth it, they could share their vision with us and enjoy their wedding weekend without any stress.

Although we had scouted multiple locations, Eva and Moritz ultimately decided on the Borgo Stomennano for their wedding venue. This was the first venue we looked at, and after falling in love with it, it was hard for our couple to consider any other venue. They realized that none quite compared to the feeling this venue gave them. Initially, they thought it might be out of their budget, which is why we considered other locations in the first place. However, Eva and Moritz couldn’t get Borgo Stomennano off of their minds. So we worked closely and made a detailed budget that allowed them to host their wedding at the venue of their dreams.

We had a great time planning all the details of their Tuscany wedding. From the beginning, our couple celebrated the little things, I adored their passion for soaking in and enjoying every moment! During the planning process, we encourage our couples to come to the meetings with wine or champagne to make each moment memorable and special. Eva and Moritz had a great time planning and sharing their wedding dreams with us over a glass of champagne.

A dream Tuscany venue

Eva and Moritz fell in love with Borgo Stomennano the moment they stepped foot on the property and it’s easy to see why! With romantic gardens, tremendous mountain views, and a grand feel, Borgo Stomennano is the ultimate luxury wedding venue location. The venue features countless locations allowing couples the opportunity to utilize every space for something different - we didn’t use the same room twice during their entire wedding weekend!

On top of the beautiful setting, Borgo Stomennano has a breathtaking history dating back to the 1100s making this one of Tuscany’s most tremendous wedding venues. A Borgo Stomennano wedding is timeless and naturally beautiful. Couples don’t need to bring in loads of decor to elevate the space. It already feels like a luxurious oasis as is. With a traditional Tuscan design, this venue is a work of art, and it is so clear to us how Eva and Moritz fell in love immediately. Borgo Stomennano is unlike any other wedding venue in Tuscany. Our bride and groom had high expectations for their wedding day and knew that this was the only place that would fit their vision.

Price-wise, Borgo Stomennano is on the higher end. However, you are paying for a luxury wedding experience and so much more. With the option to buy out the venue exclusively for a week, or weekend, this venue can be the perfect location for a private wedding weekend. If you were to ask us, it’s totally worth it!!
For their Tuscany wedding weekend, Borgo Stomennano was the perfect setting. We love that Eva and Moritz rented out the venue for the week because it allowed them to really make the most of the space. They, and a few guests, were able to stay on the property in the hotel. Eva and Moritz were able to host a welcome celebration, their wedding, and a pool party all within the comfort of the venue!

A wedding weekend in Italy

Eva and Moritz’s Borgo Stomennano wedding weekend was eventful from night one to the final day. On the first day, our couple hosted a welcome pizza party for their guests on a patio set off to the side of the venue. We selected this location for their welcome reception so that guests couldn’t see much of the other locations - we wanted guests to be surprised each day! They had fresh Neapolitan pizza that was made right in front of them, it was the perfect introduction to their Tuscany wedding!

On their wedding day, we were a bit nervous about the potential of rain and made sure to have umbrellas ready at the ceremony, but as guests began walking up to the terrace we heard thunder and quickly switched up the plan. Eva and Moritz’s wedding ceremony was now going to take place in the olive grove, and it was absolutely incredible! Our couple adores nature and the outdoors, so marrying in the olive grove was a beautiful moment in a setting they felt at home in.

Since we did have some rain at the beginning of cocktail hour, we decided to start it inside. When it finally cleared out, guests were able to enjoy cocktails out on the terrace. The dinner space was off to another side of the property and we strategically planned the entire weekend so that guests wouldn’t see the dinner location until it was time to head there. The space is absolutely stunning and allows you to set up long dinner tables in a half-moon shape. It is a dramatic and truly breathtaking setup and Eva and Moritz wanted to wow their guests! They had such a special dinner reception and then were able to party all night which is extremely rare for a wedding venue in Tuscany! Typically, there are limitations on how late the party can go. Everyone had the best time partying late into the night.

To keep the celebrations going, Eva and Moritz hosted a pool party at the venue. They brought in an Italian food truck and everyone was just able to enjoy the space and each other's company! It was a wonderful way to relax after such an exciting weekend and a wonderful way to soak in the last few moments of paradise at Borgo Stomennano.

One of my absolute favorite moments of their wedding day was the morning of. Eva and her bridesmaids got ready together in the dining room of the main house. There was a grand and elevated feeling to this space that made everything feel incredibly dramatic. The girls had the best time as we prepared a bridal breakfast for them. Eva gave the girls robes and they all spent the morning getting excited for the big day. It was so much fun watching them giggle, sip on champagne, and get ready together! Their wedding day was incredibly fun from the early morning until the late night after-party.

I absolutely adored being a part of Eva and Moritz’s Borgo Stomennano wedding. Planning their special weekend in their dream Italy venue was truly a dream. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Tuscany or are hoping for a professional wedding planner to help you with your European wedding, we would love to connect!
