We are featuring a Germany wedding located along the calm countryside at Hotel Schloss Neuhardenberg.  Jennifer and David were looking for a historic castle venue but with a contemporary and romantic touch. This hotel embodied that and so much more. The couple said “I do” during a beautiful summer month. Keep reading to learn all the design and inspiration details for their destination wedding!

Hotel Schloss Neuhardenberg

A countryside wedding venue comes with so many advantages. Scenic views everywhere you turn, disconnecting from busy streets and landscapes that make memorable photos. Jennifer and David knew they wanted to prioritize two things when it came down to their decision. First, an elevated castle feeling. Second, one location to spend an entire weekend with their closest friends and family. Just an hour’s drive from Berlin, Hotel Schloss Neuhardenberg was their perfect fit.

The venue includes a large park to host evening summer weddings. You will also find multiple open space rooms inside the castle to create event flow. As wedding planners and designers, we will utilize all the space we can get. With this event, we decorated each room and gave the guest a guided experience throughout the castle. Anyone that stayed for the weekend was hosted in newly renovated rooms filled with natural light.

Wedding Design Details

The decor was influenced by an organic greenery theme. We focused on timeless and modern elements. The combination of silver accessories and white and green colors created an elegant and classic look. Our goal was to truly embody the couple. Even added a touch of a custom scent from Diptyque that filled the reception room.

Hotel Schloss Neuhardenberg actually has the option for a legal civil ceremony. Therefore on Friday, the couple and a chosen few gathered in a circle for this small event. The following day they did a church ceremony, located a walking distance from the hotel, with all their guests. From the weather to the decor to the ambiance, we felt very honored to be a part of this weekend celebration of love.

A love note from the couple:

“...Not only that we would never have found the perfect location without IDO events (we had previously tried unsuccessfully and the location we ultimately selected was completely unknown to us and is not advertised as a wedding location on the Internet). Sharon and her team took over the planning and organization of the wedding in a super professional manner. When selecting the service providers, we were able to rely on Sharon's experience, recommendations, and her network. The corona pandemic forced us to postpone the already planned wedding until next year. It would certainly have cost us weeks and innumerable nerves to reschedule, reorganize and negotiate the terms of the postponement with the countless service providers. Sharon and her team did this in an incredibly short time and they actually managed to postpone everything 1: 1 without compromising for a whole year. Sharon was always available for us, responded very quickly to e-mails and questions, implemented our wishes perfectly in the shortest possible time, always remained calm in the event of problems (e.g. defective organ a few weeks before the church wedding), and had great solutions ready...“
